US company Microsoft has announced in a statement that it will close 83 of its retail stores around the world. From now on, the focus will be on online stores. However, Microsoft has not specified the exact date from which the stores will close. According to Microsoft, all items available in retail stores will now be available online.

With the closure of the retail store, employees will be trained in online sales and support and customers will be provided with the same online service experience as before, according to Microsoft. According to the company, there are now 1.2 billion monthly active users in 190 countries around the world, including, Xbox, and Windows. According to David Porter, vice president of the company, online sales have accelerated during the Corona crisis. He claims that most of Microsoft's portfolio includes digital products and that consumers are satisfied with the business they do online without going to retail stores.
